ATHLETE ASSESSMENT
Our player assessment focuses on testing a player's soccer specific fundamentals including ball control, first touch, passing proficiency and shooting technique while also including essential physical components such as speed & agility, coordination and strength. Our comprehensive assessment allows for athletes to receive immediate player specific feedback on strengths, deficiencies in order to better set goals on how to improve.
BALL CONTROL
Regardless of position, dribbling and ball control are of the utmost most importance when playing soccer. Our assessment focuses on 3 key areas of ball control including left foot vs right foot usage, change of direction and change of pace.
PASSING/RECEIVING
Passing and receiving are essential components to developing a firm and sturdy foundation for an athlete’s soccer career. An athlete's ability to take a clean and positive first touch will allow that player to increase their speed of play while also creating time and space for themselves under pressure. Additionally, their ability to efficiently deliver a ball to their intended target with both feet will ensure that possession is not given away during the run of play.
BALL STRIKING
You wouldn’t play a round of golf with just a driver and a putter… So you shouldn’t expect to play a dynamic team sport like soccer with just an inside of the foot pass and power shot. There are so many varying distances and scenarios that require different ball striking techniques. From long and lofted, too low and driven, to the fundamental power shot, 90% of success for each of these techniques can be traced back to a strong foundation of mechanics.
ATHLETICISM
We define athleticism as the ability to perform all techniques of ball striking, passing/receiving, and dribbling with intensity, power, stability, and control without flaw. Implementing speed, strength, and agility into our program prepares athletes for any situation and allows them to perform at the highest level during a full match.
